About

I’m Sarah Church (she/her), an accredited Cognitive Behavioural  Psychotherapist (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists) and accredited mindfulness teacher (British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches), offering therapy for adults. I trained in CBT at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at Kings College London. I have over 10 years of therapeutic experience in clinical settings, including the NHS and voluntary organisations.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you — helping you build understanding, confidence, and practical tools to support your wellbeing. I work with diverse communities with adults in London and online, keeping up to date with latest evidence and research. I offer a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental space to explore difficulties.

My vision is to support and empower you in healing, to feel your best self and to live a meaningful life.

I offer a person centred and holistic integrative approach. I draw on CBT, person-centred, emotion-focused counselling, mindfulness, and compassion-focused therapy. I always adapt my approach, working with each individual's unique needs. I believe that therapy works best when you feel genuinely heard and when therapy is tailored to you as an individual.

 Personal:

Growing up in Wales, nature became one of my greatest teachers and passions. I love exploring, spending my time at the beach or in the mountains, with family and friends.  I enjoy hiking, travelling, dancing, music, cooking, and playing football.

In 2007 I went to Manchester to study BSc (Hons) in Psychology at the University of Manchester. I moved to London in 2015, subsequently working in the voluntary sector and then in the NHS sector of Substance Misuse.

In 2018 I completed a Graduate Certificate in Counselling Psychology at City University of London. I then gained my Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in 2020 at Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at Kings College London.

I have practised personal mindfulness meditation for over 10 years, including courses, day and week silent retreats, and this has really transformed my personal and professional life. I became an accredited mindfulness teacher in 2023, having completed Mindfulness Teacher Training at Sussex Mindfulness Centre.

Most recently I became a Licensed PCE-CfD practitioner (Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression), completing training at Metanoia Institute London in 2025.
